The Arab baths of Girona are declared a cultural asset of national interest. They are located in a late Romanesque style building built in 1194, imitating the structure of North African Muslim baths.
\nThey are public baths from the Romanesque period, which follow the models of Roman baths, Muslim baths and Jewish micves, a tradition that was recovered from the 11th century onwards with the development of cities.
\nThe building is inspired by the typology of North African baths, but with its Romanesque architectural elements: semicircular arches, barrel vaults, stylized Corinthian capitals in the style of the 13th century, etc.
